Egg

1.
The physics that occurred in the egg drop was the force of gravity that acted upon the egg (9.8 m/s.) It was the acceleration caused when the egg was dropped, causing it to fall to the ground. There was also a little friction in the air causing the speed of the egg to slow down slightly. The momentum stopped when it finally hit the ground. The three layers of shirts and zip lock bags protected the egg and allowed/helped it to survive. This helped to increase the time of impact and that made the force when it hit the ground less than it normally would have been.

2.
The forces in this experiment was the force of gravity which made the egg fall when dropped. The force of the ground during the impact which caused the egg to either stay protected or break. The layers of shirts and zip lock bags caused impact time to increase which helped cushion the fall and allowed our egg to not break.

3.
Our egg survived this experiment and there was no sign of cracks, breaks, or really any damage. We were able to do what we accomplished, which was to increase the impact time of the fall. The air that we kept in the zip lock bags was the key to ultimately increasing the time of impact. The shirts also helped increase the impact time, and provided protection and a cushioning to the egg itself. All of these things helped the egg survive as the capsule increased the time and cushioned the fall.
